CALL FOR PAPERS INNOVATION & SUSTAINABILITY – IMPACT ON ECONOMICS & BUSINESS

We are pleased to invite scholars, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to submit their papers to the upcoming conference on “Innovation & Sustainability: Impact on Economics & Business”, hosted by University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University Hochiminh City, Vietnam.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) form the core of the 2030 agenda to achieve the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development. Innovation drives productivity and the creation of new quality products, while sustainability ensures the balance between economic, social, and environmental factors to enable long-term prosperity. Both innovation and sustainability have the potential to bring about transformative changes in how economies operate, creating new opportunities for growth and development. However, it also creates significant challenges that need to be addressed to ensure that these opportunities can be realized in a sustainable and inclusive manner. As a consequence, innovation and sustainability are critical for long-term economic growth, competitiveness, and prosperity.

The conference aims to provide a platform for the identification and discussion of the challenges, opportunities, and impacts of innovation and sustainability on economics in the context of rising global uncertainty, such as the post-pandemic reality, technological changes, digital transformation, climate change, armed conflict, energy crisis, etc. Given the heightened uncertainty, how (disruptive) innovations can boost/ameliorate the uncertainty and performance and how sustainability could be achieved are of immense interests to stakeholders in the society.

This conference aims to promote outstanding research concerning all aspects related to conference themes, which include but are not limited to the following:

• ICT, productivity, and economic growth;

• Regulation and competition policy of the digital economy;

• Innovative business models in the digital economy;

• Social impact and interactions in the digital economy;

• Social entrepreneurship, frugal innovation, and sustainable business models;

• Digital innovation and economic resilience;

• Sustainable business models and their role in fostering innovation;

• Financial Technology and Digital Financial Services;

• Financial technology adoptions and efficiency;

• Innovations in ESG and green finance;

• Financial technology, financial inclusion, shadow economy, and economic growth;

• Central banks, digital currency, and cryptocurrency and their impacts on society;

• Regulations and the performance of financial technology;

• Open Banking and Financial Innovation;

• Corporate governance, firm innovation and performance.

Publication opportunities

All accepted papers will be published in full text in the online version of the Conference Proceedings. The printed Conference Proceedings will present the papers’ abstract.

In addition, selected presentations at the conference will have the opportunity to be considered and published in prestigious scientific journals, including:

Asian Academy of Management Journal of Accounting and Finance (Scopus Q4).

Advances in Decision Sciences (Scopus Q3).

Review of Economic Analysis (Scopus Q4, ABDC B).

Review of Economic Analysis (REA), the official journal of ICEA, is planning to publish special issues from the conferences. The journal is open access, ABDC-ranked, and Scopus-indexed peer-reviewed quarterly publication. ICEA aims to promote its further development as a top open access, general interest journal. REA is in its 15th year and is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). Submissions will go through the usual refereeing process. REA charges no submission or publication fees.

Submission Guidelines:

Papers must be original and not previously published or submitted elsewhere.

Papers should be written in English and not exceed 8000 words (excluding references, tables, and figures).

Manuscripts should be formatted according to APA style guidelines.

All submissions must include a cover page with the paper’s title, author’s name, affiliation, and contact details.
